Porto Salvo

If the words "Seafood, Italian, and the Bronx" were mentioned to you, its fair to say that you would probably think about eateries on City Island. While all of those establishments are Bronx powerhouses, there's one new location in Morrisania that's changing the conversation.  Opened in 2017, Porto Salvo is the Bronx's ONLY Authentic Italian Seafood destination. Lead by Executive Chef Luigi Ghidetti, they serve coastal delicacies found only in the old country along with vintage inspired cocktails based on earthy ingredients.

For all the fresh fish and shellfish there are equally amazing cocktails. Their ingredients include basil and rosemary freshly grown on the premise! The bar has double side seating so you can sit face to face with your cohorts after work.

The decor is unique in the fact that they immerse you into a quaint Italian fishing shanty. Charming vintage wood from floor to ceiling along with sailing fare adorn the venue. Take a look around and admire the genuine art by house Italian artist Catini.

For all its amazing food, decor, and drinks, what really sets them apart is the family atmosphere they fill the place up with. You'll be joking it up with Luigi and Mark within minutes of walking through the door. This is the perfect place for brunch, first dates, 10th dates, after work grub, and night caps.
