Bronx Little Italy
When you think Little Italy in New York, usually people think of the tourist trap downtown on Mulberry street. As I've spent more time on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx, I've come to the realization that we have the REAL one right here at home! From decadent pastries to fresh Buffalo Mozzarella cheese, this is THE Only place i'll come to for my Italian cuisine ingredients. Anyone that knows me will tell you that I'm all about the quality of ingredients. that being said, I invite you to come take a trip down Arthur avenue with me!
First Stop... Randazzo's
The first thing that stands out to you is the clam and oyster bar right outside of the joint. Get them by the dozen or just a couple and enjoy them curbside for a couple bucks.
The Amount of variety they can pack into such a compact space is outstanding! they have everything from frog legs to shark. They carry a host of fish and shellfish native only to Italy. Everything is hand picked and curated from The New Fulton Street Fish Market in Hunt's Point, The Bronx. They join the NYC's early morning migration of restaurant owners and top chefs down to pick world class seafood for their patrons.
If your're looking for top of the line steak, pork, lamb, veal, burgers, chicken, quail, turkey, anything that carnivores would enjoy, LET ME TELL YOU!!!! Vincent's Meat Market is THE ONLY spot you need to frequent. These guys are serving up USDA PRIME AGED Cuts of BEEF that you won't find anywhere else in the BRONX. Need your burgers specially made? They DO IT! Need a whole pig? They have 'em! The Pricing for its quality is superb! You leave Vincent's knowing that your BBQ, Holiday, that special dinner, or any other occasion will be taken care of with the highest quality of meat. You can also order more expensive peices of meat and have them vacuum sealed for you right there! You won't go anywhere else after this.
Sausages, Chops, Prosciutto, Salami, Bacon.... You get the point.
Pork, Pork, and more Pork.

Do you enjoy Carbs? Yes, I figured. Well how about Fresh Carbs? Borgatti's has been churning out wonderfully made Pasta for 81 years. They make all the FLAT styles of pasta and ravioli so don't go looking for spaghetti. Fettuccine does the trick just as well. Look to see what their daily special flavors of pasta are! I was lucky enough to grab some spinach and basil flavored goodness.
